Name of project:

The world-class building, created with a $9.5 billion real estate and research infrastructure investment, will host six institutes of the interdisciplinary center for materials and life sciences at the Buda bridgehead of the Lágymányos Bridge. The infrastructure of the redesigned building is state-of-the-art, environmentally friendly and energy-saving, and it includes chemical, biological and instrumental laboratories as well as study and community rooms.

Our assignment:

Implementation of the heating, cooling and lighting control of the premises in the building with installed fancoils, presence detectors, blinds, wall operators, DALI lighting system and weather station, according to the customer's requirements. Another task was to integrate the ABB meters and the Panasonic VRF system for monitoring and data collection.

Implementation:

The system was built from KNX devices sold by Schneider-Electric. Using devices installed on 6 levels of the building, we established 8-9 KNX/TP lines per level, connected through a KNX/IP line to the central TAC Vista monitoring service. Data connection between the KNX network and the monitoring software is provided by a NETx KNX OPC Server.
