With the title “Development of the Vácrátót National Botanical Garden”, the Institute of Ecology and Botany of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences carried out an approximately HUF 210 million investment, funded entirely by the EU, in March 2010. Our company took part in the implementation of the entire building engineering automatics, building monitoring automatics and full-scale electrical installation work of the botanical garden and the boiler room. The 180-year-old romantic landscape garden, protected under the heritage protection and monument preservation act, is the richest scientific collection of living plants in Hungary. It offers spectacular views in every season and many wonders await the visitors on its 27 acres. The garden is an integral part of the Institute of Ecology and Botany of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences.

We had the following technical tasks:

For an economical heating of the Botanical Garden, it was necessary to establish a district heating supply system using renewable energy sources.

Implementation:

We ensured the effective operation and control by installing a remote monitoring system. The economical heating system is supplied from three energy sources:

thermal water heat recovery system
biomass heating plant
natural gas boilers

The utilization of all three energy sources is made possible by the engineering solutions and equipment installed in the boiler room. The heating plants supply the energy generated in the boiler room to consumers via heat pipelines and heat exchangers.

We used the following systems to fulfill the customer's needs:

15 pcs of distribution boards for secondary heating substation automation, design and manufacture
1 pc of distribution board for boiler room automation, design and manufacture
2 pcs of distribution boards for well automation, design and manufacture (in progress)
1 pc of biomass control cabinet, MODBUS integration into the building monitoring system
3 pcs of gas boiler control cabinet, LON integration into the building monitoring system
4 pcs of calorimeter, LON integration into the building monitoring system
1 pc of high current main distributor, manufacture
