Implementation:
At Knorr Bremse’s site, the comprehensive and high-quality operation, control and central supervision of the HVAC and building monitoring systems of the production hall is provided by a system composed of Siemens automation components, DDC substations and central computers. The application of the monitoring system enables the central operation, regulation and control of the connected equipment. The networks based on the principle of shared intelligence, composed of computers, digital substations and peripherals, ensure the high-quality operation of controlled processes. The building automation equipment make use of the reserves in mechanical equipment, reduce energy consumption, ensure optimal and safe operation and reduce operating costs.
- The system also includes the control of air handling units fitted with 12 gas burners, 10 water heat exchangers, individual temperature control in offices as well as the control of heating and cooling units. In all management offices, we installed local setpoint adjusters that measure room temperature and can be used for setting the desired temperature (IRC).
- In smaller offices, a VRV system ensures the right temperature, which can be changed centrally. The VRV system is connected to building monitoring via LON communication.
- Our building monitoring system is designed to provide comfort for both office and production hall staff.
- The building monitoring system can be remotely controlled via a simple internet connection.
